Design Audits
& Automation.
At trivago, I made design reviews easier to repeat — automating screenshot capture, comparing product patterns and turning inconsistent interactions into clear, reusable documentation.
- Manual capture time
- 45 → 2 min
- Key screens captured
- 14
- Desktop · Mobile · Tablet
- 3 viewports
From manual capture to a shared workflow
I used Playwright to capture 14 key screens across three viewports in around two minutes. I documented the process and generalised the prompt into a Claude skill published across trivago, making product audits and competitor benchmarking easier to repeat. The recording shows a comparison of gallery patterns across competitors.
Make interaction decisions explicit
I audited hover behaviour across results cards, map cards, galleries and hotel pages, comparing scale, opacity, cursors and transitions. I documented inconsistencies and proposed shared values, giving the gallery redesign an evidence-based starting point instead of guesswork.
